Cars were seen queuing to enter a drive-through COVID-19 testing facility at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Thursday, following a spike of cases in the county.
«I am here to get tested because I am still working every week. And I just want to make sure that I don’t have COVID and that I am not giving it to anyone. I don’t have any symptoms or anything but I know that a lot of people are asymptotic. So I am just making sure I am not spreading it,» said Brook, an LA resident.
Dozens of cars lined up outside the baseball park stadium, which extended its opening hours to accommodate the demand for tests, as the state of California approached one million confirmed cases.
The US hit a new record on Tuesday, with the highest number of patients with COVID-19 hospitalised.
